Originally from Poland, Mariusz Kujawski is a double Icelandic Champion in Latin American Ballroom. In 2014, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. He has taught, performed, and choreographed dance in NYC for 7 years. Mariusz has performed in local NYC galleries and historic venues like Judson Church, 92Y, Harlem, Brooklyn and Queens stages. 

With his partner Emma Fitzsimmons, they received first place for their choreography at the New York City Dance Week Festival at The Dixon Place Theater and later toured this duet in Florida, LA, NJ and NYC.

Outside of his love for dance, Mariusz also enjoys intuitive cooking, creating visual art from unlikely materials, photography, movement directing, and video editing. He has directed movement for fashion giants like Gloria Vanderbilt, Vogue Spain, and for New York Fashion Week.

As a director of Arts and Operations for NYC Dance Week, Mariusz and his partner Emma along with three other board members were responsible for organizing hundreds of people, performers, venues, and businesses to put on an annual dance festival taking place in all five boroughs. In addition they produce their own shows in NYC and LA, collaborating with multidisciplinary artists and performers.

Mariusz is also a cofounder of an artist meetup Capture Dances. Capture Dances brings together artists to collaborate and create meaningful cross-disciplinary relationships between artists.

Currently he and his partner are building their artist community in Lowertown and nurturing their Online Movement Studio ZE MOVES.
